This classically elegant set of rings is a perfect example of what can be done to fit a wedding ring to an engagement ring with a large centre stone.
The platinum engagement ring is set with a stunning 2ct brilliant-cut diamond, complimented by 5 tapering, brilliant-cut diamonds, channel-set in each shoulder to complete this classic look.
The challenge with engagement rings that contain stones of this size is making a wedding band to fit naturally alongside it. In this case, we wanted to match the channel-set diamonds in the shoulders, so we came up with the idea of tapering the diamonds down to a smaller size as they pass the centre stone, to avoid making the wedding band too wide. We also added an engraved line alongside the setting edge, so a plain section of platinum fills the gap between the two rings.
