RUPERT AND BETH

Here is a gorgeous example of what can be achieved from a successful collaboration, and why I will never tire of working on commissions! This utterly charming ruby and diamond engagement ring was the exceptional result of a true meeting of minds.

At our very first meeting, Rupert, came with so many thoughtful considerations for the brief to make this gorgeous, gypsy style engagement ring for his partner Beth. Far from being overwhelming, everything he shared helped us to design and ultimately craft something so unique and personal for Beth, whose style was described to us by Rupert as colourful, feminine, eclectic, artsy, fun, fashionable and trendy (how lovely!)

Working in the fashion industry as a print designer, Beth needed something that could fit her style, but also be robust enough to be able to wear daily with confidence. To start the making process, some family gold was melted down by hand to be incorporated into the ring for added sentimentality. Foremost in the considerations for the design was Beth’s love and admiration for the Bloomsbury Group, so it was important for us to capture the spirit of the group by adding this hand carved, custom design into the yellow gold band, which was then set with a beautiful mozambique pigeon-blood red ruby and two brilliant-cut diamonds in gypsy style settings with scalloped detail. Finally, the ring features a hand engraved inscription inside as a lasting, personal touch.

This really was a joy to create, and we wish Rupert and Beth many congratulations on their engagement.

If this commission has inspired you with ideas of your own -whether it be something similar to this or something entirely different- please do not hesitate, get in touch today!
